Calorie Calculator
On the Calorie Calculator page, we show how to estimate daily energy needs. Our calculator uses the evidence-based MifflinβSt Jeor formula to compute your basal metabolic rate (BMR), then factors in your activity level to get Total Daily Energy Expenditure (TDEE). You enter age, sex, height, weight and activity, and the tool outputs calories per day to maintain your weight. We also let you choose goals (fat loss, muscle gain), which adjusts the calorie target. The page explains that eating below maintenance will yield weight loss, while eating more supports muscle gain. All methods are backed by science: for example, adjusting intake is a proven way to change bodyweight, as highlighted by nutrition guidelines.
